My First Mother's Day :)

Goodness gracious, this is just ridiculous.  I cannot believe how far behind I am on this blog!  Thank you to all of you for waiting so patiently.

I came to a realization the other day that I don't like blogging unless I have a huge, impressive post to share with everyone.  I'd like to change this way of thinking.  I'm sure you would appreciate hearing from me more often, even if it's just a quick, picture-free "hello" post.  I'll try to be better.  :}

I thought I should start by sharing pictures of my first Mother's Day with you. :)  I am quite irritated with myself that I didn't post any pictures until now...but I suppose there's no use beating myself up about it. ;)

On Mother's Day, Emilie was up bright and early.

She gave me a card she'd made all by herself.

She hovered over me while I read it, holding her breath while she waited for my reaction.

Here's the front...

...and here's what the inside looked like.

Of course, I loved it!  What mother wouldn't? ;)  I gave her a big hug and thanked her.

But Emilie wasn't the only one with a surprise in store.

Robby brought me fresh roses from Beast'sbelle's front yard.

He's such a sweetie. :)

Beast'sbelle insisted that we should take a family portrait together. ;)  I love how this one turned out. :)

Oh, and for those of you who are observant and curious, yes, I did get a haircut.  A rather major one, as you can see from the above picture.  My hair had gotten so ratty and awful that I didn't really have a choice.  It's not the best haircut in creation (Beast'sbelle's not all that great with scissors), but it will do.  Beast'sbelle has offered to curl it for me, but I'm still deciding whether I feel like hanging upside down over a pot of boiling water.  Are a few curls really worth going through that?  I'm not so sure... ;)

I have more to share with you, including Emilie's playdate and updates on Eugene and Rapunzel, but that will have to wait for another time.  I hope all of you moms out there had a lovely Mother's Day too. :)  I'll be back with more to share very soon. :)

So Sweet! My Ariel doll who is a Disney fashion doll like you is slightly delusional and she thinks that her baby ( actually some blue nail polish),Erica, gave her a puppy for mothers day....Lol :D

Goodness...this Ariel must have quite the imagination. ;)

Your family is adorable, and your haircut looks nice! Just out of curiosity, does Downy work on Disney doll hair?

beastsbelle said...

Thank you! :)

I've never personally used Downy myself, but Beast'sbelle has used it on other dolls like me and says it works wonders.

Hope this helps! :)

Hi vkpixie. :) I looked for the blog you mentioned but couldn't find it. I have no problem with the idea. Just thought I'd mention it here since I couldn't there. :)

Hello again, Merida. :) Nice to hear that Z had a good past Mother's Day. :) I hope all goes well with your mother's arrival. :)

Has Beastsbelle told you that she's considering getting an Ever After High doll when they come out?

beastsbelle said...

"Ever After High"? What on earth is that? I guess that answers your question... ;)

Beast'sbelle and I have both been busy in our own different ways, so we haven't really connected in a while. :{

Along that note, I really need to get with it and get this blog updated!!

Hi Belle! Haven't posted a thing in a loooong time. I hear Beast'sbelle about your haircut. Both of my Belle dolls got one because of their ratty hair. I guess you must have that kind of nylon hair that has annoying ends. I used Armor-All, (the car chemical) and my 2011 Belle's hair got a major improvement! You should try it on yours, too!

Anyways, I want you to check out something I found! Just brace yourself and grab Robby's arm. You might be scared.

It's Gaston!

Goodness Gracious! I feel ill. What on earth was the Disney Store thinking?

All I can say is that if Beast'sbelle brings him anywhere near here, we're moving.

What is the world coming to?

I think the shorter hairstyle looks LOADS better.

beastsbelle said...

Thanks! It's a lot easier to manage, too. ;)

I like the new hair style Belle! You know I havn't really introduced myself, opps! Well just let me know if you want to know ;)

beastsbelle said...

Thanks, Agangel. I'm sorry it took me so long to publish your comment and respond. Feel free to introduce yourself. As you've probably noticed, though, I'm not the greatest at keeping up with blog comments now that I've finished Belle's Bulletins. I'd love to hear more about you, though. :)

Emily is a lovely little girl and she made such a beautiful card!
I think your hair is now about as long as Belle's in the movie.

beastsbelle said...

Thanks, Meritre. We think she's pretty special, too. ;)
